ValidationData Released As New Years Present!

The blog Ketchup-Mayo-Senf.de just released one validationdata key from an iPhone 4S. The key will only be valid for 24 hours. If you have your own SiriProxy Server already set up, you can just copy the key to your server (you have to solve a tiny puzzle first to get the full key). If you don’t have your own SiriProxy Server, you might want to copy the keys directly onto your iDevice with Sirious.

Thanks @kmsbueromoebel for the key!

SiriProxy Server List for Spire

As you all know, Spire requires a valid authentication token to connect to Apple. You have to either set up your own server using a friends Siri keys, or connect to someone else’s SiriProxy Server. But beware, everytime you connect to Siri through a server, private information gets sent through the proxy. Continue reading

Corona, iOS 5.0.1 Untethered Jailbreak For Non-A5 Devices Released!

@pod2g has been working very hard on an untether exploit he found a few weeks ago. He recently decided to give the exploit to the Chronic Dev Team an the iPhone Dev Team to release it for non-A5 devices. Because the new A5 processor, used in both the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S, does not apply to GeoHot’s limera1n exploit, it is much harder to jailbreak those devices. @pod2g is still working on a jailbreak for the remaining two devices.

As always, you should not update your device if a new firmware is available because the untether exploit will most likely be patched.

Chpwn Released Spire, Installs Siri On Unsupported Devices (No Authentication Yet)

Spire Logo@chpwn just introduced Spire, a new tool for installing Siri on unsupported devices such as the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS or the iPod Touch. Apple’s unencrypted ramdisk in the most recent ipsw allows this tool to legally extract all the Siri files.

However, Spire is not a complete solution. Apple still requires authorization to use Siri, so information from an iPhone 4S is still required. To insert this information, Spire allows you to enter your own proxy server address.

Siri Plays The Piano (Video)

The guys at Yamaha got Siri to play piano. Here’s how they did it:

Take a standard MIDI songfile and convert it to an audio file (while maintaining the MIDI data). The songfile is then sent wirelessly via WiFi to an Apple Airport Express (which is mounted underneath a Yamaha Disklavier reproducing piano. The audio output of the Airport Express is then connected to the analog MIDI inputs of the Disklavier, using a standard audio cable. Continue reading
