Siri0us Voice Dictation Hack Removed From Cydia

A few days ago we wrote an article on how to get Siri dictation on your iPhone 4 with Siri0us. The developer of Siri0us now had to remove the package from Cydia because Nuance refused to sell a license for Siri0us.

Eric Day, the developer of Siri0us, is now looking for free alternatives to Nuance’s voice recognition technology. Those of you who already have Siri0us installed are still able to use it, but it might stop working soon.

There are a lot of people reporting that they have some mayor issues with Siri0us. Some report that the mail app broke, others say safari isn’t working anymore. So we wouldn’t recommend installing Siri0us at this point (there are still ways to get the package through other repos).

Siri0us works on all devices running iOS 5 such as the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod Touch 4G, iPod Touch 3G and the iPad 1. iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1 are supported.
